MacSpot - Terms & Conditions

1. These terms

 

1.1 The terms set the conditions of repair, warranty (“Service”, “Warranty”) provided by MacSpot (“us”, “we”), sale contract between Customer (“you”) and us and general informations you will need to agree if you want to use our services.

 

1.2 This document might be changed/updated at any time.

 

 

2. About us

 

2.1 We are MacSpot, company registered in England. 

Our trading address is 58 Breckfield Road South, L65DR, Liverpool.

2.3. We can contact you by telephone or email using informations you provided to us.

 

 

3. Repairs

 

3.1. You agree all the terms before we provide any service.

 

3.2 We will repair your Device(“device”) with the greatest care, subject to the availability of the parts.

 

3.3. We will use only compatible parts for the repairs, at the same time we will not use a parts provided by you, or, we will not provide a warranty for Devices repaired by us using a third-party parts.

 

3.4. We will need to know your passcode/password to the Device for testing your Device before and after Service. If you do not want to provide the above due to privacy reasons we will not be able to check if the Device is fully functional. 

 

3.5. If the Device will need Component level repair (repair to the main logic board) we will give you estimated cost before performing. Component level repairs may take at least 3 working days, depends on the availability of the parts and the time spent with the device.

 

3.6. If we will not be able to complete any repair (including component level repair or liquid damage repair) we will not charge you more than diagnostic fee (£20 or £30 for Macs). We will notify you immediately.

 

3.7. We will keep your device(repaired or not) with us until the Contract has been paid. We may charge your for storage of your device.

 

3.8. We will notify you if the repair is Beyond Economical Repair (cost of the repair is higher than cost of your device or very similar). You can recycle your device with us for free if you will not want to proceed with repair in this case. If you will want to take your device back you will be charged £20 diagnostic fee (£30 for Macs), subject to the Service we have provided (Diagnostics/Liquid damage repair).

 

3.9. Using of our Service may void the manufactures warranty. 

 

3.10. We may install warranty seal inside the Device. Missing or tampered will void our Warranty.

 

4. Warranty

 

4.1. MacSpot warranty covers all manufactures issues or problems related to the original repair and it's linked to the specific

serial or IMEI number.

 

4.2 We don't accept responsibility for an accidental damage or any progression in damage caused by someone else.

 

4.3. Liquid damaged devices comes with 1 month warranty. Any possible progression in device damaged by liquid is beyond our control.

 

4.4. Waterproof or water resistance can't be guaranteed after repair.

 

4.5. MacSpot will provide a warranty as follows:

iPhone - parts and labour - 12 months

iPad - parts and labour - 12 months

iPod - parts and labour - 12 months

Mac - parts and labour - 12 months

Apple Watch - parts and labour - 12 months

 

Liquid damage repair - 1 month

Software - 1 month

 

We may use refurbished parts(subject to availability of the new parts).

Warranty for refurbished parts is 3 months.

 

 

5. Privacy and data protection

 

5.1. Any data stored on your device is your responsibility. We do not accept responsibility for any loss or corruption during repair and we recommend you to back up your device when it’s possible.

 

5.2. Data stored on your device is your personal property. We will not use it or copy it unless it’s necessary to proceed with Repair (e.g. Hard drive replacement and copy data across the drives) and only with your permission.

 

5.3. We will ask you for your personal details such as Name, Address, Telephone number, Email address, Debit/Credit card details (Remote Sessions) to proceed with Service and/or notify you about the repair progress, contact you in regards to Service.
